“‘A Little Honey’ is a song all about love and desire,” [Nathaniel] Rateliff tells Rolling Stone. “Everyone needs some honey and sweet loving, and in the video we wanted to embrace that kind of love in couples of all ages. A burning love doesn’t have any kind of borders or age restrictions.”
Rolling Stone premiered Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats’ new video “A Little Honey” on October 22. The video was filmed at the Turf Club in St. Paul, Minnesota, the stage performance portion shot during a live micro-show with a full audience. “A Little Honey” is the third full-length video from the band’s most recent album, Tearing at the Seams. The video for “You Worry Me” was released in March of 2018, and “Hey Mama” followed in May.
With the video release, the Night Sweats have also partnered with the Marigold Project – Rateliff’s foundation to support economic and social justice causes – to produce a sustainably-sourced craft chocolate infused with honey, marigold and blood orange. Proceeds from the chocolate go to support both the foundation and Denver’s Urban Garden community garden program.
